Jesmonite Care Instructions
All Jesmonite products have been sealed with a water and heat resistant sealer, making them splash-proof and safe for use in the Kitchen & Bathroom.
Soap Dishes are made from AC730, a micro-concrete known for its durability, making it ideal for this purpose.
To prevent damage to the sealer, refrain from using harsh cleaning chemicals and abrasives.
Clean products by wiping with a damp cloth; do not submerge or soak Jesmonite items. Ensure thorough drying.
It is recommended to promptly wipe away spillages.
Jesmonite products are not safe for dishwashers or microwaves.
Please note that all items are handmade, resulting in individual variations in colors and finishes.
Some products may contain naturally occurring air bubbles.
Handle products with care to avoid chips or damage.
Only recommended for indoor use unless otherwise specified.
Our candle holders are crafted from Jesmonite AC100, a material known for its fire-resistant properties. Jesmonite products have undergone testing in compliance with EN 13501-1, adhering to the harmonised Euroclass System for assessing the fire performance of building materials, a standard recognized by various countries throughout Europe.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Gather Homeware Candle Holders are designed for use with taper or dinner candles.
It is essential to ensure a snug and secure fit of the candle within the holder prior to lighting.
Always trim the wick to a length of 5mm before igniting the candle.
Taper candles must not be permitted to burn down past the top of the candle holder.
Always extinguish the flame before it reaches the 'crown' (the final 2cm of the taper).
If the flame makes contact with the holder, it may result in discoloration and charring. As Jesmonite is a porous material, wax should not be allowed to accumulate in the well.

We use a high quality food-grade organic beeswax sealant, so it is completely safe and non-toxic. We recommend dry food only.

Variations are to be expected during the production process (such as color, texture, air bubbles, slight unevenness, or tiny scratches), but these only serve to make each item unique. These elements, inherent to Jesmonite, are unavoidable and should not be considered imperfections - they contribute to the distinctiveness of each piece.
